Chris Wood scored twice at former club Birmingham City to bring his tally to 24 goals this season ( 22 in league) as Leeds kept up their impressive run for a play off place. Despite playing second fiddle to an impressive home side it was Woods who opened the scoring on 14th minutes when he chipped The Blues keeper with his first touch following a through ball by right back Luke Ayling.
On 63 minutes Craig Gardner levelled with a super left foot shot from 25-yard but four minutes later Leeds were back in front when Woods scored his second following a Phillips cross. This knocked the stuffing out of Gianfranco Zola side and on 81 minutes Alfonso Pedraza secured the three points for Leeds with his first goal for the club.
