Following the live showing on Sky of the Leeds United vs Crystal Palace game Ollie O Loughlin was elected as the new EnnisLUSC President for the 2026 / 27 season taking over from founder member Paul Nihill. Ollie is a lifelong Leeds fan and indeed was and excellent forward with his home town club Hermitage. Indeed back then the Hermitage Youths team played in an all white strip like the great Don Revie team of the 70's. Ollie won a 1st Division League title with Hermitage in 1981/82 season where he scored many goals alongside his brother Gerard in the forward line before before embarking on an engineering career. Ollie's sons Darragh and Eoin are also staunch EnnisLUSC members . We wish Ollie an enjoyable year in his new role.

Leeds maintained their unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign thanks to a hard-earned goalless draw with The Eagles. This was a very disappointing performance following on from the previous Monday nights fixture to Newcastle United. Farke's side never reached the same heights and indeed can count themselves lucky to have earned a point. However one positive is that Leeds go into the three-week international break having conceded just three goals which leaves them level with Everton as the joint fewest in The Premiership to date. The first half was a dour affair but sprung into life just after the interval with Palace having three excellent opportunities to open the scoring. James Trafford saved well from Yeremy Pino with Jefferson Lerma shooting over from the following set-piece.

Daichi Kamada then fired narrowly wide before Palace thought they had scored through Tyrick Mitchell but Anan Khalaili… Read more

Leeds United 4 Newcastle United 1

What a game for our Ennislusc members Bryan Williams, Stevie Jones, Dom O Rourke Mike Lewis, Darragh Casey, Brian Woods, Richie Lynch and George Casey to witness at Elland Road. Not in our wildest dreams could we have predicted this result. Two wins and two draws have taken Leeds up to third in the Premier League after four games in a super start to the new season. Daniel Farke's side took the lead on 32 minutes when Ao Tanaka's strike took a wicked double deflection before nestling in the bottom corner of the Newcastle net. Three minutes later Calvert-Lewin headed in Leeds second from a brilliant Justin cross and Elland Road was in full voice.

In the first minute of stoppage time Calvert-Lewin claimed his second goal with a brilliant finish following a Muharemović assist. The Magpies were really rattled at this stage and… Read more

Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Leeds United 1

Leeds having not scored at the American Express Stadium in over twelve and a half hours of football and The Seagulls haven beaten Aston Villa 4-0 in their opening game of the season this certainly was going to be a tricky game for The Whites. However it was Leeds who started brilliantly and should have had the game in the bag at half time. Daniel Farke's side appeared on course for their first victory at Brighton in more than 17 years when Jayden Bogle opened the scoring on 15 minutes. Bogle finished into an empty net after a pass across the face of goal from Man Of The Match Ao Tanaka. Leeds were completely dominant now and Vuskovic cleared Calvert-Lewin's effort off the line and Tanaka's volley skimmed the top of the crossbar with keeper Verbruggen well beaten. Brighton had their first… Read more

Leeds United 1 Brentford 1

The Bees came to Elland Road full of confidence after a great pre season run of friendly games and at half-time pretty much every Leeds fan watching would have been thinking it was a matter of not whether Brentford would win but how many goals they would win by. Leeds were absolutely abysmal in that opening half and could and should have been three down at half time given all the opportunities Keith Andrew's side had.The Bees completely dominated a first half in which Leeds failed to have a shot on target and deservedly took the lead on 41 minutes when Kevin Schade brilliantly flicked to the net. Thankfully at the interval Daniel Farke obviously had some strong words and also made changes which made a big impact. Leeds lost Joe Rodon in the first half to a hamstring injury and he looks to be… Read more

Nottingham Forest 0 Leeds United 1

All Leeds fans were looking forward to the new season with some positivity after our business in the transfer market and it got off to a super start at The City Grounds. It was a very even contest with most of the opportunities for both sides coming from set-pieces. Leeds free transfer signing Harry Wilson nearly made his Leeds debut one to remember when scoring from Jayden Bogle's low cross but the goal was ruled out for offside. Just before half time Forest's Jair Cunha heading against the post after a scramble inside the Leeds box. Forest had dominated the first half without much threat to James Trafford.

Leeds first real chance came on 70 minutes when another new signing Tarik Muharemovic header was saved by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels. It looked as if the game was heading for a scoreless draw when Leeds… Read more

Tonight at a sold out Croke Park fierce rivals Manchester United and Leeds United will face each other in a preseason friendly. The last soccer match at Croke Park was the first leg of an infamous World Cup play-off tie between Ireland and France on November 14th 2009. Ennislusc will be well represented in the capital in what will be a wonderful experience for all those lucky enough to get their hands on gold dust tickets. For Leeds fans it will be a chance hopefully to see new goalkeeper James Trafford make his Leeds debut following his club record £40M transfer from Manchester City.

Predicted Leeds line up: Trafford; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Muharemovic, Justin; Ampadu, Longstaff; Wilson, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin.

At the start of the season the three sides that came up from The Championship were favourites to go down but against all odds Sunderland finished 7th, qualifying for Europe and Leeds finished a very creditable 14th. Unfortunately The Clarets (Burnley) finished 19th and drop back down to The Championship. All Leeds fans would have settled for 17th place, stay in The Premiership but a fantastic second half to the season saw us finishing with a superb 47 points which meant Leeds earned £144.5m from their first season back in the top flight. At Christmas some fans were calling for Farke to be sacked but his change in tactics after losing unluckily to Man City saw a huger change in fortune for the club.

Our signing at the start of the season particularly Dominic Calvert-Lewin who we got on a free, James Justin, Anton Stach, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijo, Lukas… Read more

West Ham United 3 Leeds United 0

With Leeds safe this game was a must win one for The Hammers and hope Everton did them a favour and beat Spurs to keep them in The Premiership. Unfortunately West Ham did their bit against a Leeds side that were already looking to their summer break while Spurs beat The Toffees and thus ended The Hammers 14 years stay in The Premiership. West Ham were always up against it going into this match as they sat two points behind Spurs who also had a vastly inferior goal difference. This is hard to credit as just three years ago West Ham won their first major silverware in 43 years as David Moyes led them to the Europa Conference League title. To their credit it looked like Leeds were odds on to go down at Christmas given their poor form but since the New… Read more

This was a case where it was a smash and grab win for Leeds. The Seagulls had dominated the game with 19 efforts on goal but apart from an outstanding save from Darlow he was rarely troubled. All the action in the first half came with two minutes to the half time whistle. Pascal Gross forced Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow into a full-stretch save before Van Hecke failed to get his header on target from six yards in the follow-up.

Brighton started the second half brightly and Danny Welbeck had an effort headed off the line by Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu while Diego Gomez also went close in the 67th minute.Leeds substitute Joel Piroe then had a shot from the edge of the box go inches wide of the top corner as the home side pressed for a winner. It did come in… Read more

Tottenham Hotspur 1 Leeds United 1

This was a massive game for Spurs in their fight to stay in The Premiership and for Leeds it was an opportunity to keep their excellent run going. With West Hams controversial loss at home to Arsenal on Sunday this was a huge game for Spurs. It was a very cagey first half with neither side troubling the opposing goalkeepers. However five minutes into the second half Spurs got the goal the craved. Mathys Tel put the hosts ahead with a spectacular finish and Spurs looked on course to open up a four-point gap over The Hammers who are in the relegation places. Richarlison then blazed a glorious chance over the top moments before Leeds were awarded a penalty.

On 74 minutes Tel's reckless attempt at an overhead kick in his own penalty area gave away a needless penalty and up stepped Dominic Calvert-Lewin who… Read more

Leeds United 3 Burnley 1

Last May Leeds pipped Burnley to the Championship title on goal difference after both sides amassed 100 points and on this occasion The Clarets came to Elland Road eight days after their relegation to the Championship was confirmed while the club announced head coach Scott Parker had left his position by mutual consent. This was a game Leeds targeted for three points to all but guarantee Premiership safety and from the off the pedal was to the metal as they completely dominated the first half. Leeds shook off their FA Cup blues and took the lead on eight minutes much to the relief of the Elland Road faithful. Anton Stach received the ball from Jaka Bijol twenty five yards out and drilled a left footed effort into the bottom corner for a spectacular goal. It was the German midfielder's fourth goal of the season from… Read more

Chelsea 1 Leeds United 0 FA CUP Semi- Final

Leeds hopes of reaching a first FA Cup final since they lost to Sunderland in 1973 were dashed as they were left to regret missed chances that might have turned a tight game in their favour. Ennislusc were well represented at Wembley as Leeds played in the semi final for the first time in 39 years ( 1986/87 ) with Paul and David Nihill, Brian Woods, Marty Brennan Stevie Jones, Mike Lewis, Bryan Williams, Eoin Doohan, Mike E. Gibson, Jason Finn, Jack Quilligan and Colm Ryan in attendance. Chelsea had sacked their manager Liam Rosenior in the days leading up to the game after a run of five league defeats without a goal and interim manager Calum McFarlane was in charge. After only five minutes on the clock Leeds had a glorious chance to take an early lead. US International Brendan… Read more

Bournemouth 2 Leeds United 2

This game had a dramatic and nail biting end after a drab first half where Leeds played below par but certainly were happy to go in level at the half time whistle. It's been a big run of high pressure games for Leeds so it's understandable that not in every game they'll be firing on all cylinders. The Cherries broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Senesi threaded a through ball to Kroupi who's shot was deflect in over Leeds keeper Karl Darlow for his 11th goal of the season. Two minutes later Leeds came close to equalising when Noah Okafor's effort come back off the post. However moments later Ampadu's long throw led to chaos in the Bournemouth penalty area and Wilfried Gnonto's shot went in off the heel of Cherries defender James Hill. Game on now but it was The Cherries who… Read more

Leeds took a massive step towards safety with a excellent victory over a Wolves side who despite their lowly position put it up to the home side and fans could only rest when Calvert Lewin converted a 95th minute penalty. Leeds defender James Justin opened the scoring on 18 minutes with a superb overhead kick after Wolves failed to clear a corner to ease the tension in the home crowd. Just 85 seconds later Elland Road erupted as Noah Okafor finished smartly for his 7th goal of the season at the back post from Brendan Aaronson's fine low cross. After going 2-0 up the home side seemed to take their foot off the pedal thinking the game was done and dusted but that was far from the case.

Leeds endured a couple of nervy moments in the second half with goalkeeper Karl Darlow forced… Read more

What a night for Leeds fans who witnessed their team win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1981 but more importantly secure a superb three points in their quest for Premiership survival. This on top of securing an FA Cup trip to Wembley after defeating West Ham at the weekend has been a memorable week for all Leeds fans around the globe. Noah Okafor gave Leeds a dream start on five minutes with a brilliant finish to quieten the home fans. On 29 minutes Okafor hit the net again when his shot from the edge of the area got a slight defection of Leny Yoro and nestled in the net. Leeds were completely on top and Tanaka should have made it three in first half injury time but Martínez got back to clear off the line. All us Leeds fans watching on… Read more

Ennislusc members traveled over in the hope of seeing a Leeds win and breathing space in our quest to stay in The Premiership but in a game to forget they had to settle for a point. The club were represented at the game by Mike Jones, Brian Woods, Marty Brennan, Dom O Rourke, Richie Lynch, David O Grady, Paul Harte, Tadgh Murphy, Declan Meaney and Sean Naughton. This game can only be described as an atrocious advertisement for Premiership football as The Bees came to defend stoutly and unfortunately Leeds never troubled Irish International goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher except for an effort from a Lukas Nmecha strike.

Long-range strikes were the ordee of the night with Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka both trying their luck after the break only to be denied by Kelleher. It was only in the last ten minutes that there was… Read more

Crystal Palace 0 Leeds United 0

This was an extremely dour first half with neither side creating much but it ignited into life in the 45th minute and the following minutes of injury time. Following a Leeds corner Palace captain Will Hughes was penalised for a hand ball and referee Thomas Bramall pointed to the spot. Up stepped Calvert-Lewin but he dragged his spot-kick wide of the left post but unfortunately worse was to follow for Farke's men. In the fifth minute of injury time left back Gabriel Gudmundsson was given a second booking for a foul on Ismaila Sarr in the centre circle and got his marching orders.

It was a tall order for Leeds to get something out of the game but to their credit the defended brilliantly in the second half limiting Palace to few chances. Palace did have the ball in the net with 12 minutes… Read more

Leeds United 0 Sunderland 1

This was a game that Daniel Farke had targeted but for the second successive home game Leeds failed to hit the onion sack. The Black Cats despite having only thirty per cent possession and one shot on target all evening, that being a dubious penalty came away with all three points. Let there be no doubt this was a damaging defeat in Leeds bid to remain in the Premiership. In a game that lacked any quality or intensity from the home side their best efforts in the first half came from Anton Stach's free-kick which was pushed behind by keeper Melker Ellborg who was making his debut in goal. The Swedish keeper also saved excellently from Jaka Bijol's close-range header in 12 minutes of added time.

Leeds continued to dictate the second half and on 66 minutes looked to have taken the lead but Joe Rodon's… Read more
