Following the live showing on Sky of the Leeds United vs Crystal Palace game Ollie O Loughlin was elected as the new EnnisLUSC President for the 2026 / 27 season taking over from founder member Paul Nihill. Ollie is a lifelong Leeds fan and indeed was and excellent forward with his home town club Hermitage. Indeed back then the Hermitage Youths team played in an all white strip like the great Don Revie team of the 70's. Ollie won a 1st Division League title with Hermitage in 1981/82 season where he scored many goals alongside his brother Gerard in the forward line before before embarking on an engineering career. Ollie's sons Darragh and Eoin are also staunch EnnisLUSC members . We wish Ollie an enjoyable year in his new role.

Leeds maintained their unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign thanks to a hard-earned goalless draw with The Eagles. This was a very disappointing performance following on from the previous Monday nights fixture to Newcastle United. Farke's side never reached the same heights and indeed can count themselves lucky to have earned a point. However one positive is that Leeds go into the three-week international break having conceded just three goals which leaves them level with Everton as the joint fewest in The Premiership to date. The first half was a dour affair but sprung into life just after the interval with Palace having three excellent opportunities to open the scoring. James Trafford saved well from Yeremy Pino with Jefferson Lerma shooting over from the following set-piece.

What a game for our Ennislusc members Bryan Williams, Stevie Jones, Dom O Rourke Mike Lewis, Darragh Casey, Brian Woods, Richie Lynch and George Casey to witness at Elland Road. Not in our wildest dreams could we have predicted this result. Two wins and two draws have taken Leeds up to third in the Premier League after four games in a super start to the new season. Daniel Farke's side took the lead on 32 minutes when Ao Tanaka's strike took a wicked double deflection before nestling in the bottom corner of the Newcastle net. Three minutes later Calvert-Lewin headed in Leeds second from a brilliant Justin cross and Elland Road was in full voice.

Leeds having not scored at the American Express Stadium in over twelve and a half hours of football and The Seagulls haven beaten Aston Villa 4-0 in their opening game of the season this certainly was going to be a tricky game for The Whites. However it was Leeds who started brilliantly and should have had the game in the bag at half time. Daniel Farke's side appeared on course for their first victory at Brighton in more than 17 years when Jayden Bogle opened the scoring on 15 minutes. Bogle finished into an empty net after a pass across the face of goal from Man Of The Match Ao Tanaka. Leeds were completely dominant now and Vuskovic cleared Calvert-Lewin's effort off the line and Tanaka's volley skimmed the top of the crossbar with keeper Verbruggen well beaten. The Bees came to Elland Road full of confidence after a great pre season run of friendly games and at half-time pretty much every Leeds fan watching would have been thinking it was a matter of not whether Brentford would win but how many goals they would win by. Leeds were absolutely abysmal in that opening half and could and should have been three down at half time given all the opportunities Keith Andrew's side had.The Bees completely dominated a first half in which Leeds failed to have a shot on target and deservedly took the lead on 41 minutes when Kevin Schade brilliantly flicked to the net.
