i cant belive how well they played at the back all game. Lees and paul robbo were outstanding. And then such a soft soft goal to give away that lonergan is dodgy out. Should have caught the cross. as soon as he palmed it over you could sense trouble they lack a midfielder with that extra bit of quality. Any time snodgrass had the ball there was at least 3 around him unbelievable atmosphere. Elland road is som place when its rocking

A win tomorro, even if its ugly would i believe give us the springboard for a good shot at the play offs. Looks like a three way shoot out for the top two automatic spots, and i reckon 8 clubs then for the 3 other play offs places, b very interesting, thoose teams hittin form now could seal the deal in that run in. Whatever the boardroom politics and philosophy, Warnock has made a difference fair play to him. Hope we beat those hammers tomorro, maybe then we can start dreamin, Hopefully ST. Patrick will smile on us

The best performance I've seen in ages v Boro yesterday. O'Dea, Robinson and McCormack were excellent. With 6 of our ten games left at home there is a very good opportunity to make a burst for the play-offs. If Reading can win 8 in a row and start challenging for automatic promotion then theres no reason why we cant do the same for the playoffs, especially with the way we've been defending under warnock and the renewed confidence in the squad.

I agree Johnny...we've got to be positive about the improvement at the back and also the extra bite coming from the players since Warnocks arrival...I wonder if they have been given a message about his aim to "build a team...for the fans" and are finally putting in the shift we expect?

Johnny

While I wasn't one of those that was thrilled that Warnock was joining us I have to admit he is getting things right at the back and there is a bit of bite back in the team. I cannot see us making the play offs bar a minor miracle but if we can finish well and stop conceding goals I would see that as progress. Next season it's all about going up and like the George Graham era you have to build from the back. The dogs on the road know our problems are at the back and hopefully Warnock unlike Grayson can sort this problem out IN THE LONG TERM.

Paul Robinson is after joining on a months loan with the option of taking him for the rest of the season. I think he'll do a good job,he's a no nonsense defender which is what we need. West Ham are interested in taking Matt Mills so if Leeds want him they better act quick! I think we should be looking at Portsmouth and Rangers to get a few players in too. We looked good the other day when we got the ball down and played. With the long balls its just a lottery and Becchio had no one up there to help him. I thought Adam Clayton was very good,he always looks to play football and keep it easy. O'Dea was no where for the goal and gave Lambert way too much room but that's whats happening all season with bad defending letting us down. You can see Warnock has put a bit of bite into them, they flew into all the tackles and battled and bossed Southampton for 90mins. I like that there's no bullshit with him,he says it as it is. He thinks we'll be lucky to make the play-offs and his right and he also said we're a long way off the top teams which we are. If we could get a bit of confidence in the squad and bring in a few players in the summer we could challenge next year. Needs to sort out the defence first and foremost. The attitude, commitment and leakage of goals has improved since he took over. All we need now is a few results, hopefully starting tonight at Hull. MOT
