Wishing you slim and any other Irish fans d very best in Poland, No doubt a few pints of Tyskie the local brew will be sampled. Speaking of beer and pubs it was with Sadness i learned of the closure of the "old Peacock" opposite Elland rd just recently. Apparantly it had been run by the Supporters Club, from the Brewer Greene king. Financial reasons cited. Hope they can find a new landlord, What a great place it is, you could spend a day looking at the pictures on the walls alone, if only them walls could talk what stories , what history, lets hope its open for the new season. The longer the uncertainty over the financial takeover-investment-stadium naming rights goes on .... not good. Rumours abound of McCormack, snoddy and Aidy white not putting pen to paper it aint good for the club confidence. With the fixtures coming out monday week, some kind of statement of intent from the hierarchy i feel is needed, or you could see Warnock moving down to the forest to rejoin Gianni Paldini, the italian who was one of the main shakers at queens park rangers, now the main guy at the City ground. Time will tell!. Come on the boys in Green!

Slim

So the day has finally arrived, when I go from white to green for two weeks.Off to poland to follow the boys on what we hope will be a wonderful adventure, here's hoping we can go all the way,and hopefully by the time im back, some billionaire will have taken over Leeds and we'll be back on track for the premiership.See ye all soon,c'mon the boys in green.MOT.

More rumours emerge overnight re takeover bids of Leeds United, with a new name cropping up as a potential buyer,Kuwait businessman Fawaz AL- Hasawi has apparently tweeted on his twitter a/c that he is in the process of buying a club in England with a massive history, names mentioned are Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, but translators of his tweets state that its Leeds whom he wants to buy, also that he ll invest alot of money into the club to get it back to where we all know we belong Premier league.Again all stories emerging at the moment are hearsay, but needless to say, they will linger on for awhile yet.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed re the Takeover. You got the feeling that the present owners were not willing or able to may the level of commitment necessary to take us forward. The confusion and stalling over Snoddys Contract, and the failure to land joel ward for 400k, did not bode well for the future. Hop its sorted out quick and committed people are brought in,. The leeds fans dont need to be strung out and shafted in all of this...Fingers crossed we get some good people

All these rumours of Investment/ Takeover....Just hope there true..so badly needed ,should have happened ages ago!!!

Nugs

The end is nigh for Colin I think. Knowing Master Bates he'll be looking for well over the odds for the players on our transfer list so they prob won't sell. His only hope is to flog Snoddy to the highest bidder (and soon!) and then give the whole lot to Warnock. Otherwise, it's back to League One boys....we're shit and we know we are !!! Nugs

Stories are emerging that Neil Warnock like Simon Grayson has been misled with regard to his transfer chest for this coming season. These stories originated when after paying Pompey in the region of 500,000 pound for Pearce,a deal was then done vocally with Pompey administrator Trevor Birch for Joel Ward, the player travelled to Leeds for talks, but then the deal stalled, and it later transpired Leeds couldnt come up with the fee in the region of 400,000 pounds,a cash flow problem being the cause.Uniteds Shaun Harvey had hoped to get some money in from players transfer listed, certainly off the wage bill, this hasnt materialised thus scuppering the Ward deal?.Hence the stories now circulating that Leeds are under pressure to get the money to get new players in.
