What a joke that Rachubka is ! Jesus, if you can't do the basics what's the point ? Out now....forever. Just read somewhere that this is the last year of Bates having to pay millions to the creditors if we go up. I'd say we can forget it this season. All the talk is of making the playoffs only. That's a money making exercise only. A few more losses and we'll need a manager too !

Made a flying visit to the Cardiff game at the weekend, back and over the same day.Enjoyable as any visit to Elland rd always is, its better craic when doing the group trip the pints , the hotel etc. So enjoy the upcoming Barnsley trip! The match itself was one we should have taken all 3 pts, in terms of chances created, despite an abberation at the back by Darren O Dea, that allowed Cardiff to score, he was apparantly concussed just before it happened. Leeds played well in the 2nd half and richly deserved snoddy's equaliser.Cardiff were st up to defend and get a point both earnshaw and miller on the bench, the latter came on in last 10 mins and looked lively. Becchio challenged their two big centre halves, but we played too much route one and lacked guile in pulling plers out of positions to create space for mccormack, 12 corners to their 4 tells its own story, plus some top drawer goalkeeping from marshall their keeper, meant it was only going to be a point. Small crowd just over 20k, 360 cardiff fans tucked up like chickens under the rafters of the west stand..which felt odd, The square ball has its theory on that move more Bateseconomics.....Anyhow on and upwards for tonite match against Blackpool...3 points would be really nice to keep us in touch with the promotion pack

I missed the game cause I was meant to have a match,I saw some of the highlights though. Shocking defending for the goal. O'Dea and Rachubka should have done better. I can't understand why they haven't tried to sign another defender and keeper on loan. Still at least their not losing and are in a good position. MOT

Disapointing result yesterday, easy goal given away, they were there for the taking. We were very unlucky not to win it, looked good going forward but once again stupid defending let us down. MOT!

I presume fofs tomorrow Richie. I cant make it tho. Big 3 pts at stake - we owe them big time. A win puts us third which would be excellent. After an unbeaten run comes to an end we sometimes go on another one. Lets do it !

Whats the story for Sunday? Are we still going to Faufa's? With a 1.15pm kick off it could be a good prep for anybody going to Leeds next month!!

alan murphy

I agree Johnny, Sundays game is big, up untill last night I felt we had steadied the ship and were getting good results. From listening to Sky Sports we should have scored at least two,we HAVE to convert chances on Sunday.Get stuck into um from the word GO! MOT!!!

Johnny

Thanks for the link John,it worked intermittently for me but unfortunately disappointing result.Against the top sides in this division, we create chances but don't seem able to punish such teams. Another terrible goal to give away even if it took a deflection and not off Kisnorbo this time :-) For me Sunday's game vs Cardiff is the defining game of the season. They hockeyed us last season and it will be a good barometer for us to see how we perform against them this time around.
