Firstly happy new year to all you fellow long suffering Leeds fans. New year started where the old one left off with a defeat in the cup to Sunderland. The stats do not provide much crumbs of comfort either one fortunate point out of five games played in December ,away to forest . Our last 23 games last season only earned us 23 points. We however were in a much more lofty position ,going into the new year than we currently find ourselves. We are out of all cup competitions now, every game will be a cup like dog fight,if we repeat our form post Christmas like last season the numbers will have us go down.As former Russian leader Nikita Khrushchev said to his troops in the pivotal battle in World War Two "if you don't have balls for the fight ,you better grow them"

Spent Christmas in the uk this year, thanks to the essex whites I managed to get a lift up to elland rd for the Wigan match , sound bunch of guys and girls,to say d result was dire would be a gross understatement.Going behind to a terrible cooper go we chased the game ,without really threatning their goal ,caught late on with a good James McLean finish, pity he can't score goals for Ireland like that. The general feeling around after the game, we are in a dog fight now to stay up ,with half the season gone 4pts from safety ,we will be hoping we do not go on a run of losing games like we did after Christmas last year, which was only halted with that famous win over Huddersfield, was McDermott fired or not game. Leeds are so unpredictable we might get a point at derby next,we need to steady the defence and a bit of steel and width in midfield, could be a long tough 2nd half of the season I would settle for 4th from bottom now!

Don't think there is any fear of the Cardiff game being a dead rubber,we will need points to stay in the division I reckon, serious dogfight the performance against Fulham was horrific by all accounts,I suppose when you were sixth favourites to go down and you have already had three different managers before Christmas and what's going on with cellino,it all adds up to you ending up in the shit!!

brian woods

i'm sure i can make both parties, Mr President of Fun.....

Richie

If I don't make it I will certainly be with ye in spirit. Does de 20th against Notts. Forest ,kicks off at 5.15, suit everyone for for our Xmas party and de 30th against Derby for our New Years party!!
President for fun.
