Just back from the Newcastle game, a throwback to the old days in regard to crowd size atmosphere etc. Although we tried very hard and played reasonably well, over 50 per cent possession, we were undone by a fatal lack of concentration by rob green, and to be fair Newcastle quality put the tin hat on it for Leeds.There is positives , we have been better this season under monk, the summer additions have been telling, especially Jannson , already on his way to cult hero status. I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle emerge as championship winners this season, real quality in that side, from back to front. Well it appears the dozen or so ennislusc boys going to the villa game could also be in for a treat, a potentially serious match and the way it's shaping up possibly another full house almost 30 k sold. On a final note thanks to my long standing mate Kevin greene for making the trip with me, and many since our first one way back in 1985, and of course to my friends in the Essex whites for the lift up from the south east as I was based near Stanstead visiting family relations, ...could we be turning a corner,or at least is there some green shoots of a revival after many recent seasons of abject mediocrity?
